Lorrie Matarazzo

B.A, M.Cl.Sc., AUD (C) Au.D., Doctor of Audiology

Lorrie has been a nationally certified audiologist since 1997 and has a passion for educating her patients so they understand their hearing loss and solutions to manage it. She is a member of Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC), and The Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA). Lorrie is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).

Lorrie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Laurentian University, a Master of Clinical Science Degree in Audiology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. She is certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) and in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for the Management of Tinnitus. She works with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) as a community learning site, allowing medical students into her practice to observe and learn about the importance of hearing healthcare.

In 2022, facilitated by the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Infant Hearing Program (IHP), Lorrie has become designated an IHP audiologist. She was trained through CHEO Hospital (Ottawa) and the National Centre for Audiology at University of Western Ontario (London). This specialized training allows her to provide services to children ages 6 and under who need audiologic monitoring or hearing aids. Lorrie’s qualifications and experience enable her to provide a full range of services to infants, children, and adults, including those with complex and special needs.

Alicia Simbirski

BHSc., M.Cl.Sc., Audiologist

Alicia is a registered audiologist that strives to provide high quality hearing services to both patients and their families. She seeks to support patients in preventing, identifying, and managing their hearing loss. Alicia has earned a Bachelor of Health Science with Honors Specialization in Rehabilitation and a Master of Clinical Science in Audiology from the University of Western Ontario. She is a member of Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC), and The Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA). Alicia is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).

Melanie Julien

Office Coordinator

Melanie has been working with Lorrie since 2013 within an audiology practice. She is the friendly voice and first point of contact for our patients, who always feel welcomed by her. Melanie is a valuable source of information and can help you with appointments, hearing aid repairs, and funding related/third party questions.
